Jorge Ham is the Founder of Haltium, a company with the mission of bringing new and affordable technology to Latin America. Haltium’s vision is to develop technology to lessen Latin America’s dependence on other parts of the world for technology. Jorge currently works as a Department Head with the Consejo de Ciencia y Tecnologia del Estado de Morelos and previously founded startups in videogaming and digital design. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Jorge spent 4 weeks at the Presidential Precinct through the Young Leadership of the Americas Initiative (YLAI). YLAI brings dynamic young entrepreneurs from 10 countries in the Latin America and Caribbean region for “entrepreneur-in-residence” placements with some of Charlottesville’s leading small businesses, startups, and nonprofit organizations.
